ESG | ESG | ESG Matters

A person who sees a problem is a human being; a person who finds a solution is visionary; and the person who goes out and does something about it is an entrepreneur. - Naveen Jain

Now that our Schwab accounts are either at Skye Advisors or SAA, we will be looking at what your risk tolerance profile is today. Never was there a better time, than after a pandemic-induced-bear-market, to see how you felt on the darkest and most volatile days. Below is a profile of the software that we have for doing sensitivity analysis for your portfolio: Hidden Levers. 😊Why does this matter to you? Understanding how your portfolio might respond to different market conditions helps us be prepared…for the good, bad, and ugly.

“HiddenLevers’ portfolio-stress-testing and investment proposal engine helps with probably one of the most important things we can do to decide what level of risk is right for your portfolio. It also helps us communicate with you about the impact that macro-economic events have on a portfolio or financial plan” says Raj Udeshi, HiddenLevers’ founder. “We help the advisor stress-test portfolio scenarios upfront to properly manage client expectations and visualize scenarios about market volatility that are meaningful to investors,” Udeshi says. “We provide nuanced conversations instead of a single-number approach to risk. It’s not a sales facade for somebody else’s product.” 😊 Why does this matter to you? Our goal is to align your financial planning goals with the amount of risk we need to take to help you live your dreams.

This week, I want our focus to be on taxes…as this ultimately will lead to how our Social Security system will be shored up for the next 100 years. As tax-filing season approaches, you may wince when you hear that taxes will HAVE to go up to pay for the record stimulus packages and to pay down our burgeoning Federal deficit. Take a walk down memory lane at what a century of the top-tax-brackets have looked like.

😊Why does this matter to you?Do not let sound bites on the evening news lead you to believe your taxes are going to the moon to pay down for this stimulus package. If you compare 2021’s top-tax bracket to our historical rates…you will see, we are at the lower end of the range. What matters most right now is that those not paying their fair share pay a little more and that we all work together to minimize the long-term damage to our economy. But most of all…we must help those who have lost so much. We have a long recovery in front of us.
