Meet Laura

Laura discovered her passion for finance in high school through her school’s monetary policy club where she presented directly to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Laura went on to study economics in tandem with environmental studies, receiving her Bachelor’s degree from Colgate University. She also minored in Spanish. Encanta hablar español!

Her career started in New York City on Wall Street with Standard & Poor’s as well as 30 Rock with UBS Wealth Management. While invaluable experience was gained, something was missing from her day-to-day life that the city simply could not offer: a deeper connection to nature and to others who value social responsibility and justice.

When given an offer to join retirement solutions company Jackson National in Denver, Laura took it. This immersion to the Colorado investment world led Laura to discover First Affirmative Financial Network – a 30+year industry veteran known for their Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) platform. She worked in their home office in many capacities from business development to shareholder advocacy, eventually becoming an Advisor.

Now, as a Founding Member of Sustainable Advisors Alliance, LLC, Laura guides her clients to make meaningful, positive impacts with their financial assets while also growing and understanding their wealth.

Laura is an active member of various communities working closely with leaders in the Benefit Corporation (B Corp) movement and the non-profit sector to advance sustainability and inclusion on all fronts.  She resides in Denver where she takes full advantage of      Colorado’s sunshine with her dog Zion - gardening, rock climbing, biking, skiing, trail running, hiking, — you get the idea!
