Meet Jan

Jan Bryan has specialized in Sustainable, Responsible, and Impact (SRI) investing for over thirty years. Jan recognized the financial merits of sustainable investing long before the general investment world. As a geographer, environmentalist, and social activist, it made perfect sense to her.

Away from work, Jan is a naturalist and adventurer who enjoys birding, gardening, hiking, biking, kayaking, traveling, reading, geography, and almost anything related to the world of nature. She also speaks conversational Spanish.

First Peoples Worldwide

Using corporate engagement strategies, First Peoples Worldwide (FPW) provides tools and resources for investors, companies, and financial institutions to increase understanding about the ways to include Indigenous Peoples in project design in accordance with the principle of free, prior and informed consent (FPIC) as enumerated in the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. FPW facilitates participation by Indigenous Peoples in high-level dialogue regarding investments that impact their lands, territories and resources.
